The WSOP 2017 has already brought us a lot of drama and there’s so much more to come. Let’s take a look at some of today’s events:
$1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Millionaire Maker (Event #20B)
After the second flight got done there are 678 players moving on to the next day in the $1 500 No-Limit Hold’em Millionaire Maker. They are joining the 535 people that advanced on Saturday. Overall there were 4,323 entries and the prize pool surpassed $10 million.
Coming into the second day, the chip leaders are: Brian Altman (227,800), Billy Graybeal (209,200), Scott Skirba (207,500), Adam White (182 000), and David Peters (173,200).
Other Notable names still in it are Joe Cada (66,700) and Bertrand Grospellier (60,200) who got 2nd place in the $111,000 High Roller for One Drop.
$1,500 8-Game Mix 6-Handed (Event #21)
After 472 entries there are only 10 players left fighting for the first place and $145,577 in the $1,500 8-Game Mix 6-Handed. So far, Gregory Jamison is the chip leader with 714,500, followed by Ron Ware with 511,000 and a close third is Sachin Bhargava with 470,000. While Jamison and Ware are fighting for their first bracelet, another contender still in the race, Christopher Vitch (148,000) is trying to get his 2nd.
$10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship (Event #22)
Jon Turner (367,300) is the leader in the $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship so far. The first place will bring the winner $256,610. Following him are Mike Leah (361,500) and John Monnette (265,400). Overall, there were 92 entries in the tournament but only 10 people remain.
There are a couple of interesting names left in the mix. The likes of Nick Schulman(186,000), Jesse Martin (105,900), and Paul Volpe(97,700) have already won bracelets before.
